VINTAGE ARGUS C3 CAMERA ESTATE AUCTION FIND shelf
This is an Argus C3 camera, often nicknamed the Brick due to its distinctive shape and solid construction. Found this at an estate auction with several other cameras in a bundle. It was a popular rangefinder camera mass-produced by Argus in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from 1939 to 1966. It features a 50mm f/3.5 Argus Coated Cintar lens, a coupled rangefinder for focusing, and interchangeable screw-mount lenses. Unlike some other rangefinders, the C3 has separate windows for the rangefinder and the viewfinder. It uses standard 35mm film cartridges. It has the leather case but it isn’t in fabulous condition.
